Fringe Friday

Oh hey Friday!
Lately I've been loving this Steve Madden kimono... I do have to say the fringe always gets stuck on things (I've been hooked to the kitchen cabinets at least three times just today) but it's a price I'm willing to pay! It's super lightweight and as in no surprise to my daily style, completely comfortable. I paired it with a few of my staple pieces and minimal silver jewelry for an easy outfit to throw together because let's face it- it's Friday and I'm tired and soooo need a weekend!

Keep an eye out because within the next week or so I will be adding occasional videos to my OOTD posts. I'm teaming up with my amazing cinematographer boyfriend and couldn't be more excited!

Wrap Knit Tank and Lace

Today I'm back to basics. It's the middle of the week and I wanted to pair together a comfortable and effortless outfit to get me through the day!
I love how these crochet shorts look dressy but actual feel like pajamas! That's usually my goal in life... to find clothes that look great but feel even better. The ivory color pairs with most other things and makes it easy to dress up or down.
Wrap Knit Tank || Crochet Shorts || Tan Wedges || Rebecca Minkoff Bag
Similar Ring || Similar Necklace 1 2 3 4 || Similar Bracelet 1 2 3

Super simple black and ivory was paired with minimal gold jewelry and my most comfortable pair of tan wedges. The top has fun geometric lines that give a bit of detail to an otherwise plain piece. I'm still obsessed with my Rebecca Minkoff purse and you couldn't pay me to get rid of it... so it's been going everywhere with me. Overall, it's a great comfortable look to get me through this long Wednesday!

Memorial Day

Before I get into this post, I want to take a moment to reflect on all of those who have passed away fighting for our country. It is truly humbling knowing that people are willing to risk their lives to protect our freedom. Let's make sure all of the lives lost were not in vain and really remember those brave men and women. Thank you doesn't even cover it.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer (yes I know, it's really June 21st, but....) it's the perfect time to spruce up that summer wardrobe! I've picked out some great red, white, and blue pieces to carry you from Memorial Day to 4th of July!
Some of the pieces show different colors but have options in either red, white, or blue.

Now... I'm off to go sit by the pool ALL day and attempt to get a tan. Alright, so I'm actually working all day, but there will be a pool (that I can stare at from a distance) and lots of Los Angeles sun. This pale girl can dream about a tan though...

Happy Memorial Day!

Perfect Dream

Happy Friday! Today I've decided to doll up after being super casual for a while. I just got this amazing dress at Nordstrom Rack that is sold out there online :/ but... some may be available in stores, and I did find it available here! It's the Free People 'Perfect Dream' dress in 'Ivory Combo', and I've also seen it in 'Berry Combo' here. I paired my dress with my favorite new Rebecca Minkoff bag, a pair of 70's meets gladiator Sam Edelman sandals, and Betsey Johnson sunglasses.

If you haven't checked it out yet, head over to my previous post here for a huge list of sales happening now through Monday! So many great items are reduced up to 70% so now is your chance to get some great pieces for your summer wardrobe at a fraction of the cost! I've included my favorite picks, and more sales will be added to the list throughout the weekend so keep checking back.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day and a great long weekend!

Coral Vibes

Coral is one of my all time favorite colors and I love that with summer just a few short weeks away, coral is in no short supply! When I found this pair of Joe's Jeans, I was so stoked! They are a perfect way to make a bold and colorful statement, are fitted and comfortable, and can be dressed up or down. They match this 14th & Union necklace I found at Nordstrom Rack perfectly! There are even flecks of coral in my top! The ruffle tank blouse from Target comes in coral, lavender, and mint online but I was able to find this specific pattern in the store. I've linked a similar top with the same pattern in the pictures below.
Lately I've been super obsessed with Rebecca Minkoff bags. There are probably at least twenty pinned to my Pinterest board! This exact one is so adorable with the teal stripes! It's very summery and feels a bit nautical, which is perfect because I'm always dreaming that I'm at the beach. I finished off my outfit with beaded Steve Madden sandals.

This past week has been crazy for me! On Friday I had all four wisdom teeth pulled and am (finally) almost back to eating solid foods! Unfortunately the chipmunk face won't seem to go completely away... at least not on my left side. It's what's going on in my life though, and as I don't photoshop myself, it's here and it's happening. I'm embracing it! My au naturale mane is also making an appearance! It's a bit all over the place, but I think natural beauty and self confidence don't always have to come from being perfectly put together.

Splurge or Save

My personal philosophy when it comes to fashion is 1) how I feel when I'm wearing an outfit 2) price 3) something along the lines with being in trend (but number one and two always more important) and 4) sometimes I care about the brand. There's always the voice in the back of my head of Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada going on and on about fashion trickling down and anything less than the best is the worst and I'm making a mockery of fashion and blah blah blah my brainwashed head often thinks anything other than the top of the line is a worthless knock off... and who knows, maybe it is. It probably is! But not to worry... I'm here to tell you that how you rock an outfit is more important than the actual outfit you're wearing!

So... if you're like me and spending thousands of dollars on an outfit makes you physically sick (um hello think of the starving kids... shiny new things so aren't always worth it!) then listen up!
Here's a list of some trendy items that you can splurge or save on. It's up to you...

Captain America

Captain America Shirt || White Boyfriend Jeans || Blue Keds || Similar Elephant Bracelets 1 2 3

What's not to love about Captain America? The answer... nothing. Yeah, you know I'm a bit obsessed with the Capt. when you catch me stealing my boyfriend's shirt and claiming it as my own. Luckily someone designed boyfriend jeans so I don't have to steal those too... and oh how I'm so thankful for whoever that someone is somewhere who invented them (and called them fashionable) so I can be extra comfortable! I've been digging the whole casual look lately, especially with the weekend just a few hours away!
To finish off my weekend look, I'm wearing a worn in pair of Keds and an adorable elephant bracelet (which is probably almost as old as I am, so I linked some current/similar ones). This look is so different than my usual sundress and wedges style, but I'm really loving it! Now, if only someone can make it so that white jeans never stain...

How do you plan on spending your weekend? I'll be getting my wisdom teeth out (ahh!). Wish me luck! Hopefully you all have a wonderful, relaxing, and productive couple of days off!
